Private house – Interior design
The interior design project complied with the request to provide the house with all the necessary accessory spaces, especially in the living area, to maximize a feeling of spacious and fluid environments. The apartment belongs to a 1940s building by Portaluppi, in Piazza Santa Maria Beltrade in Milan. The project interpreted the taste of a young client and expressed his desires through materials and furnishings.
The two-bedroom apartment overlooks the courtyard, adorned by the typical balconies of that time. Luxuriant vegetation covers the balustrades and an entire wall, added after a recent restoration.
Living room and dining area are designed to enjoy fully the natural light and that “urban green gem”. The kitchen was contained and partly hidden to the sight to leave most space to the dining area, which in this way is closely connected with the outside world. With custom-made furniture solutions, functional wardrobes were created at the entrance, thereby leaving as much space as possible to the living area.
